If you find a discarded syringe in a public place, please contact Council immediately .
We cannot collect syringes on private property. If you notice a syringe on private property, you should contact the Syringe Disposal Helpline for advice on 1800 552 355.
Please provide our Customer Service staff with the following information:
To help us find the syringe, mark the area with something. Do not handle or touch the syringe.
If it is outside of business hours, please leave a message with out after hours service.

If you report a syringe during business hours, we will collect it within 2 hours. Otherwise we will collect it the next business day.
If you provided your contact details we will let you know once the syringes have been collected.
