The Yamagata Japanese Gardens are a tribute to the Swan Hill-Yamagata sister city relationship that was established in 1980.

Located just a few minutes from the town center and close to Swan Hills' largest park, this serene spot is a must-visit when strolling down to the riverside.

Dogs

You can bring your dog to the parks within our municipality, but they must:

  • be on a leash at all times
  • not be within 10 metres of any playgrounds or barbecues
