At today’s Scheduled Council Meeting, Swan Hill Rural City Council considered a planning application for the partial demolition of the Robinvale Hotel at 70 Perrin Street, Robinvale.
Cr Englefield moved a motion to defer the decision on this matter to the July meeting to enable the community more time to read the information provided in today’s meeting agenda.
This proposal is of great interest to the Robinvale community, with 25 formal objections and 4 letters of support received.
Council agreed that it is vital to provide additional time for the community to carefully consider all elements of the proposal, including heritage impacts and structural reports, and provide their feedback to Councillors, who will make a decision at the next Scheduled Council Meeting on Tuesday, 15 July 2025.
Council sincerely thanks all community members who provided feedback and remains committed to a transparent and thorough decision-making process.
Mayor, Cr Stuart King
