Request copies of planning permits and endorsed plans

To determine whether there is any history of planning applications or approvals relating to a property, you can search Council’s Planning Register or contact the Planning Department. If you wish to obtain copies of planning permits or endorsed plans, a request can be made to Council following the steps below.

Council may redact sensitive or personal information from endorsed plans to protect personal privacy and security and to comply with privacy legislation.

Apply online

Step 1.Decide which information you need

You can request one or more of the following:

  • Planning permit
  • Endorsed plans 

Step 2.Have your details ready

You will need to provide:

  • the street address of the property
  • permit number/s

You can search for the relevant planning permit number in Council’s planning register.

Step 3.Have your credit card ready

Please note we only accept Visa or MasterCard.

Step 4.Submit the online form and pay the fee

What happens next?

  • We will send you an email receipt to confirm we have received your application
  • We will aim to supply requested documents via email within 14 days (subject to archiving retrieval)
